Your English is good. You have an intermediate vocabulary and you use correct sentence structures (grammar). I think your areas of focus now should be to continue to increase your vocabulary and to improve the intonation of your voice. Remember: PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!

You actually did quite well answering the questions in today's lesson, "June Bride". It was interesting to learn about weddings in Japan, and to hear your opinions on this subject. As the article stated, June is a very popular month to get married in Europe, Canada and the United States. I can understand why this would not be a good time of year to get married in Japan, however, due to it being the rainy season. I agree that October would be a lovely time of year to get married, because it's dry, and also not too hot and not too cold. It's also a beautiful time of year, with the leaves on the trees turning red and orange and yellow!

I agree with you that two months is a very short time to date a person before deciding to get married! Two years is definitely much better, as it gives two people time to get to know each other well. Often though, celebrities rush into marriage because they get alot of media attention.

HINTS - Here are some hints, to help you express yourself in English more clearly:

1. When you were telling me you age, you said "25 years old"; next time, please say "I am 25 years old".
2. When you were telling me about your job, you said "My work is editor"; next time, please say "I am an editor".
3. When you were telling me about your family, you said "My family is grandmother, mother, father, three sisters, one dog and one cat"; next time, please say "There are seven people in my family: my grandmother, my mother, my father, my three sisters and myself. We also have a dog and a cat.".
4. When you said the date, you said "June one-th"; next time, please say "June first" (June 1st).

NOTE:

When we were talking about June brides, you said:

"It's a European influence. Japanese people follow them."

You also said that one of the reasons Japanese people are choosing to get married abroad is because:

"Some media say that getting married abroad is a good idea... the people are influenced".

These were two excellent examples of the use of the word "influence&qot;. BRAVO!!!
